A turbine is a device that utilizes the flow energy of fluids (such as steam, water, gas, etc.) to drive rotating blades, thereby converting the fluid's kinetic energy into mechanical energy. Examples of turbines include compressors, steam turbines, gas turbines, smoke gas turbines, and expansion turbines, which find widespread applications in numerous industrial sectors, such as power generation, ship propulsion, and oil and gas extraction.
Nowadays, many manufacturers employ PLCs for the automated control of turbines to implement alarm and shutdown logic, achieving efficient production control. In this context, WideIOT offers a turbine remote monitoring system solution based on PLC data acquisition. This solution involves connecting an industrial smart gateway to the turbine's PLC for protocol parsing, data acquisition, and edge computing. The processed data is then uploaded to a cloud platform and host computer via 5G/4G/WIFI/Ethernet, enabling various intelligent applications.
