In the petroleum drilling industry, top drive drilling rigs, as an efficient and energy-saving new type of drilling equipment, have been increasingly widely applied. However, top drive drilling rigs generate a large amount of data during actual operation. How to collect and analyze this data in real-time to achieve remote monitoring and optimization of the drilling process has become a key concern for many equipment manufacturers.Solution
WideIOT has introduced a data acquisition and remote monitoring system for top drive drilling rigs, primarily composed of an industrial smart gateway and a remote monitoring cloud platform.
The industrial smart gateway is responsible for connecting to PLCs to collect various operational parameters of the top drive drilling rig in real-time, such as hydraulic pressure, vibration, temperature, and pump pressure. The collected data is then transmitted in real-time to the remote monitoring cloud platform via wireless communication technologies (5G/4G) (with support for WIFI and Ethernet transmission to local systems as well).In the remote monitoring cloud platform, the collected data undergoes visualization processing and analysis, generating various data panels such as equipment status, process parameters, alarm information, and maintenance work orders.
This enables functions such as remote control, remote management, remote maintenance, and data analysis, providing equipment manufacturers with a convenient means to centrally manage distributed devices.
System Functions
Equipment Data Acquisition: Realizes data collection on the operational status and process parameters of the top drive drilling rig, such as switches, hydraulic pressure, vibration, temperature, pump pressure, voltage, and current, with real-time transmission to the remote monitoring cloud platform.
Equipment Fault Alarming: Implements automatic alarming for equipment faults and abnormal parameters, notifying administrators via WeChat, SMS, email, etc., allowing them to view alarm information at any time to take timely measures.
Data Edge Computing: Establishes data standards and reduces cloud server operational pressure by implementing edge computing functions such as intelligent acquisition, data filtering, alarm calculation, jump triggering, formula calculation, and grouping strategies.
Cloud Adaptation and Access: Supports access to remote software platforms via MQTT, MODBUS, OPC UA, SQL, HTTP databases, etc., such as self-developed cloud platforms, WideIOT remote maintenance platforms, and third-party cloud platforms.
Convenient Remote Operation and Maintenance: Enables remote configuration, remote debugging, remote diagnosis, and remote program updates for异地 (off-site) equipment in conjunction with WideIOT's equipment operation and maintenance express line, improving equipment maintenance efficiency and work standards.
Data Intelligent Analysis: Customizes data dashboards to manage the location distribution, quantity types, operational status, real-time parameters, alarm information, and maintenance work orders of distributed devices, employing data analysis methods for optimization and upgrades.
