In industrial sites, various devices and sensors generate massive amounts of data, including temperature, pressure, flow rate, vibration, and other types. This data plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and stable operation of production processes and facilitating fault maintenance. However, on-site environments often encounter sudden network instabilities or disconnections. In such cases, if data cannot be uploaded to the cloud platform, it will cause troubles for subsequent data recording and analysis work.

In response to this, WideIOT provides industrial IoT gateways with a resumable transfer function, which can realize data collection, processing, and transmission for various devices such as PLCs, instruments, industrial robots, CNC machine tools, and industrial robots. Resumable transfer refers to the ability to record the current data breakpoint when the network connection is interrupted, and after re-establishing the connection, continue the unfinished task and retransmit all the data that should have been sent, thereby effectively ensuring data security and integrity.

Operation Logic
1. Data Collection: By connecting various PLCs and sensor devices through serial ports and networks, the IoT gateway can collect real-time data from industrial sites and access the internet via 5G/4G/WIFI/Ethernet or other methods.
2. Multi-Network Redundancy: It monitors the network status in real-time. When a disconnection of the current network is detected, it automatically switches to another network to ensure the normal progress of data collection and transmission.
3. Offline Data Storage: Once a network disconnection is detected, the collected data is immediately temporarily stored in the local gateway memory. Meanwhile, it monitors the communication link in real-time and automatically reconnects.
4. Resumable Transfer: After the network is restored, the local data is retransmitted to the corresponding system platform, ensuring that no data is lost during the network disconnection period and achieving data security and integrity.

The significance of resumable transfer lies in ensuring data security and integrity in different network environments. Especially in scenarios such as manufacturing and water conservancy disaster prevention, it is necessary to quickly identify equipment abnormalities and faults, and also provide reliable data support for post-event tracing, experience summarization, and other work. By taking reasonable measures to avoid potential risks, the normal operation of information systems is ensured.
