Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) offer advantages such as flexibility, reliability, and cost-effectiveness, and are widely applied in various industrial scenarios.
The control programs within PLCs are key to achieving automated production, directly determining the performance and effectiveness of the control systems. In response, WideIOT provides a solution for PLC data acquisition and remote monitoring, enabling visual monitoring and precise control of production processes, thereby enhancing production efficiency and management levels. When interfacing with devices such as switches, valves, and water pumps, PLCs are typically programmed with ON/OFF control sequences to automate operations.
When the system reaches a preset value, the PLC issues an OFF command to shut down the device; conversely, when the system exceeds a preset value, the PLC issues an ON command to activate the device. For example, in a beverage production line, the PLC can control the switch of a water pump using an ON/OFF control algorithm. When the water tank is full, the PLC sends an OFF command to turn off the water pump; when the water tank is empty, the PLC sends an ON command to turn on the water pump.
By integrating the PLC into the WideIOT industrial intelligent gateway, protocol parsing and data acquisition can be performed, and the data can be transmitted to a cloud platform or upper computer for remote monitoring of the switch status of water pumps, valves, and other devices.
If sensors are also connected to the PLC frontend, data such as water levels and flow rates can be collectively acquired, providing reliable assistance for monitoring and managing production activities.Users can set alarm thresholds and notification methods, enabling automatic alarms via WeChat, SMS, or email when abnormal data is detected.
This facilitates quick location, diagnosis, and resolution of issues, minimizing disruptions to on-site production operations. Additionally, instructions can be sent to the PLC through the gateway for remote control, as well as remote programming, debugging, and program uploading/downloading operations, effectively enhancing work flexibility and reducing operational and maintenance costs.
