Smart Agriculture Environmental Real-Time Monitoring System

The Internet of Things (IoT) is bringing a new management model to agricultural production, one that is increasingly large-scale, scientific, and data-driven—capable of effectively boosting yields and production efficiency. WideIOT has independently developed a smart agriculture real-time monitoring system that combines the advantages of industrial smart gateways and IoT cloud platforms. It collects real-time sensor data—including air temperature, humidity, CO₂ concentration, soil temperature and moisture, and light intensity—and transmits the data to the cloud platform via 5G/4G/Wi-Fi/Ethernet for analysis and processing. Based on production needs, managers can then adjust farming strategies in a timely manner to maintain an optimal growing environment for crops.

1. Real-Time Environmental Monitoring
WideIOT industrial smart gateways can collect data from RS-485/RS-232 serial sensors, capturing parameters such as air temperature, humidity, CO₂, soil temperature and moisture, and light intensity, and upload them to the cloud platform for visualization and centralized monitoring. Alert notifications help maintain a safe and healthy growing environment for crops while also preventing losses caused by severe weather events.

2. Smart Irrigation and Energy-Saving Control
By connecting to fertigation machines, the system can retrieve irrigation data, monitor the operational status of valves and pumps, and analyze historical data to optimize irrigation schedules, enabling smart water-saving irrigation. In addition, equipment faults can be quickly detected and controlled to prevent damage to the crop growing environment.

3. Unified Device Access and Management
Through the device access management platform, all equipment in the system—including sensors, cameras, and fertigation machines—can be monitored and managed. The platform displays online/offline and running/fault statuses, and sends timely fault alerts so that maintenance measures can be taken without delay.
