A certain logistics park, primarily engaged in the trade of agricultural and sideline products as well as cold chain transportation, has been facing issues such as inefficient energy management and rising energy costs. The traditional method of manual meter reading has become increasingly problematic. Therefore, the company has requested a digital transformation of the park’s electricity usage to enable centralized monitoring and management, thereby improving energy management efficiency and saving energy.
According to the assessment, electricity consumption in the park mainly comes from the following areas: work zones, permanent shops, mobile stalls, and charging stations (for both e-bikes and electric vehicles). Existing issues include the heavy workload of manual meter reading and slow data aggregation. To address this, WideIOT deploys energy data acquisition gateways that connect to various smart meters. Based on preset rules, the platform issues timely warnings for abnormal electricity usage (e.g., exceeding thresholds, power fluctuations, equipment malfunctions, or unusual consumption patterns). Notifications are sent to managers via SMS, email, or instant messaging apps like WeChat.
