IoT Remote Monitoring Solution for Tire Test Benches

Published: 2026-10-26 14:00:14
A tire test bench is equipment designed specifically for testing tire performance. It can perform various tests and measurements on tires under different conditions to uate their performance, durability, and safety. Typically, tire quality inspection companies must meet the requirements of automobile manufacturers by conducting a series of tests on tires at fixed intervals—including load-bearing, high-speed, durability, and high/low-temperature tests—to understand the performance of each tire model. This is crucial for the research and development of new vehicle models.

Traditional tire testing involves problems such as heavy workloads and high safety risks. For example, load-bearing tests require tires to run at high speed 24 hours a day under load, requiring staff to be on duty around the clock. In addition, the on-site environment is harsh—with extreme temperatures, strong odors, and roaring machinery—making the work extremely demanding. Moreover, if a tire bursts or equipment fails, it poses a serious threat to on-site personnel. Remote monitoring of tire test benches is therefore imperative.
By connecting to automotive test bench PLCs, temperature and humidity sensors, pressure gauges, and other devices, WideIOT industrial smart gateways can collect data such as motor status, runtime, temperature and humidity, vibration, air pressure, and gas concentration. This data is transmitted via 5G/4G/Wi-Fi/Ethernet to cloud platforms or local host systems. Management personnel no longer need to remain on-site at all times—they can remotely monitor equipment status parameters and operating data, promptly detect abnormal faults, and perform remote control, ensuring safe and reliable on-site operations.

Management personnel can view data from each test anytime, anywhere via PC or mobile—including reports and charts on motor status, runtime, temperature and humidity, vibration, air pressure, and gas concentration. When abnormal fault trends occur, they automatically receive alerts via WeChat, SMS, or email—enabling rapid localization, diagnosis, and corrective action. They can also remotely control equipment start/stop, avoiding major production incidents and economic losses, as well as preventing harm to on-site workers.
