PLC Data Acquisition and Remote Monitoring System for Dewatering Machines

Published: 2026-10-10 11:39:10
As key equipment in industries such as chemicals and food processing, dewatering machines directly impact product quality and production continuity through their operating status. Traditional monitoring methods rely on manual inspections—time-consuming and prone to oversight. In contrast, IoT-based data acquisition and remote monitoring systems connect dewatering machines to the network via smart gateways, enabling real-time monitoring and analysis of various parameters—thereby improving overall operational efficiency.

System Architecture and Functions

By connecting the dewatering machine PLC to WideIOT industrial smart gateways, the system enables data acquisition and equipment networking, transmitting data via 5G/4G/Wi-Fi/Ethernet to cloud platforms or host systems. The system consists of three main layers: the device layer, the network layer, and the application layer.

Device Layer – High-precision sensors installed at key points on the dewatering machine are responsible for sensing critical data such as temperature, pressure, and rotational speed, converting them into electrical signals and transmitting them to the PLC.

Network Layer – The gateway collects equipment status parameters and, after edge computing, uploads the data to cloud platforms or host systems for higher-level management and decision-making.

Application Layer – Through cloud computing and big data analytics technologies, management personnel can access the real-time operating status of dewatering machines anytime, anywhere, and make scientific decisions based on analytical results.

System Functions

Real-time monitoring of dewatering machine operating status and process parameters, with automatic alerts triggered when abnormal faults are detected. Notifications are supported via WeChat, SMS, and email—enabling rapid localization, diagnosis, and corrective action.

Enables remote start/stop control of equipment when faults are detected—avoiding impacts on product quality while improving management efficiency and response capabilities.

Performs equipment data analysis to establish appropriate dewatering indicators and support sound decision-making—ensuring stable product quality and meeting individualized requirements.
