Wind-Solar-Storage Power Station Remote Monitoring and Visual Management System Solution

Published: 2026-06-06 11:04:37

A wind-solar-storage power station is a renewable energy system that integrates wind power, solar power, and energy storage equipment. It plays a key role in building a clean, low-carbon, safe, and efficient modern energy system. With the rapid growth of renewable energy installations and the widespread deployment of distributed power stations, traditional on-site inspections and local maintenance are no longer able to keep up with the increasing number of device types, wide geographic distribution, and complex environmental conditions. Issues such as slow fault response, low power generation efficiency, and high maintenance costs are becoming increasingly prominent. To address these challenges, WideIOT provides high-performance industrial energy gateways to help build a remote monitoring and visual management system for wind-solar-storage power stations.

Wind Power System

In wind power systems, the industrial energy gateway connects to anemometers, wind vanes, generator temperature sensors, vibration monitors, and wind farm SCADA systems. It collects key parameters such as wind speed, wind direction, active power, generator winding temperature, and gearbox vibration acceleration in real time, and uploads the data to the power station monitoring platform via 4G/5G networks. When anomalies such as high wind speed shutdowns, bearing overheating, or abnormal vibration are detected, the system can automatically trigger alarms and generate maintenance work orders, which are then sent to operations staff. This helps reduce downtime and improve wind energy utilization.

Solar Power System

In solar power systems, the industrial energy gateway is deployed with inverters, combiner boxes, irradiance sensors, and environmental monitoring stations. It collects data such as DC voltage, DC current, inverter efficiency, module backside temperature, total irradiance, ambient temperature, and humidity, and sends this data to the power station monitoring platform. The platform displays the power output of each solar array, cumulative energy generation, and performance ratio (PR) in real time. It can also highlight abnormal areas of the PV modules using heat maps. When data anomalies or equipment faults are detected, the system quickly identifies the fault location and generates work orders for cleaning, repairs, or part replacement, helping ensure the long-term efficient operation of the solar power station.

Energy Storage System Monitoring

For energy storage system monitoring, the industrial energy gateway connects to the battery management system (BMS), power conversion system (PCS), and the temperature control and fire protection PLC. It monitors key metrics such as individual battery cell voltage, module temperature, state of charge (SOC), state of health (SOH), and charge/discharge power in real time. When issues such as battery overheating or voltage abnormalities are detected, the platform can automatically trigger alarms and remotely control equipment switches. Using historical data trend analysis models, the system can also identify aging battery packs in advance, helping operators plan balancing maintenance or replacement schedules. This significantly improves the safety and lifespan of the energy storage system.

Centralized Monitoring and Intelligent Management

By leveraging the unified data access and edge computing capabilities of WideIOT industrial energy gateways, data from all types of equipment in wind-solar-storage power stations is aggregated on the power station monitoring platform. The platform offers features such as panoramic map displays, real-time alarm pop-ups, smart report generation, and mobile-based remote inspections. Maintenance personnel no longer need to frequently travel to the site. Instead, they can gain a complete view of station operations, respond quickly to anomalies, and intelligently coordinate power generation and storage strategies. This enables the goal of a modern energy station management model: unattended operation, minimal on-site maintenance, full visibility and control, and safe, efficient performance.
