Solar-Powered Aerator Remote Monitoring and Maintenance Management System Solution

Published: 2026-05-15 11:25:14

As an energy-efficient and environmentally friendly water treatment device, solar-powered aerators are widely used in rivers, lakes, ponds, black-odorous water treatment, and aquaculture. These aerators use solar energy to increase oxygen levels and purify water. However, due to their dispersed deployment locations and complex field environments, traditional manual inspection and management methods are costly and slow to respond, making it difficult to meet the demands of refined and intelligent operations and maintenance.

To address this, WideIOT has developed a smart, efficient remote monitoring and maintenance management system for solar-powered aerators. The solution is based on industrial intelligent gateways and integrates IoT, cloud computing, and data analytics technologies.

Solution Overview

By deploying industrial intelligent gateways inside the waterproof PLC cabinets of solar-powered aerators, the gateway collects real-time data on equipment operating status, voltage, current, as well as water quality parameters such as dissolved oxygen, temperature, and water level. The data is then transmitted to a remote monitoring cloud platform via 4G/5G networks. This enables remote monitoring, alerting, management, control, and statistical data analysis, helping to build digital management expertise and continuously improve work efficiency and management standards.

System Features

1. Real-Time Monitoring

Monitor the location, operating status (e.g., on/off, speed, voltage, current), inverter parameters, and water quality data of solar-powered aerators. Data is displayed through maps, dashboards, and trend curves, with support for editing and managing device information.

2. Multi-Channel Alerts

Set up multi-dimensional alert rules. When an alert is triggered, notifications can be sent via WeChat, SMS, or email to maintenance personnel. Alerts are displayed in a centralized dashboard, helping quickly locate faulty equipment and supporting rapid diagnosis and resolution.

3. Data Analysis and Reports

Automatically generate equipment operation reports, performance curves, and historical trend charts. Analyze solar power generation efficiency, aeration efficiency, energy consumption, and fault frequency to provide data-driven support for optimizing maintenance schedules and inspection strategies.

4. Digital Maintenance Workflow

Support the entire lifecycle of digital maintenance work orders—creation, assignment, execution, and closed-loop management. Track responsible personnel, progress, operation logs, and maintenance records to improve team efficiency and quickly trace and address issues when anomalies occur.

5. Remote and Intelligent Control

Maintenance personnel can remotely start or stop aerators or set scheduled operation modes using a phone or computer. This reduces the need for on-site operations, lowers labor and travel costs, and enables energy-saving intelligent scheduling based on sunlight and water quality data.
