A certain industrial park originally planned to monitor the temperature, pressure, and liquid level of multiple storage tanks through traditional wiring methods. However, it had to confront issues such as substantial construction and labor costs, long project durations, and poor coordination efficiency. Moreover, a large amount of data was often confined to local systems, which was not conducive to data management and analysis, making it difficult to support scientific decision-making.
In response to these challenges, WideIOT offers a wireless data acquisition solution based on 4G industrial gateways. Temperature, pressure, and liquid level sensors are installed on each storage tank at the site and connected to the 4G industrial gateway via RS485 serial ports. The gateway collects real-time data on temperature, pressure, and liquid level and uploads it to the IoT cloud platform through operator networks. This enables visual monitoring and online management of each storage tank via web pages on computers or mobile apps. This solution features low wiring costs, a short construction period, and rapid project realization.
Automated Meter Reading Replacing Manual Reading: Personnel at all levels can quickly access data on the temperature, pressure, and liquid level of each storage tank and generate visual data reports for easy traceability and analysis.
Automatic Alarming: When temperature, pressure, or liquid level data exceeds preset thresholds, automatic alarms are triggered. Alarm information can be pushed via WeChat, SMS, email, and other methods, enabling rapid identification of the alarming device and abnormal data, along with synchronization of handling progress and alarm cancellation status.
Multiple Communication Interfaces: The gateway is equipped with multiple communication interfaces. Through standardized data acquisition and remote configuration, it provides simple and convenient operational support for equipment fault diagnosis, maintenance, and expansion, while generating comprehensive equipment logs.
Northbound Integration: It supports integration with remote software platforms through various protocols such as MQTT, MODBUS, OPC UA, SQL, and HTTP databases. These platforms include the WideIOT cloud platform, self-developed cloud platforms, and IoT cloud platforms from companies like GenCloud, Meicloud, Huawei, Alibaba, Baidu, and Microsoft.
