WideIOT has developed a remote monitoring IoT system for soybean color sorters based on industrial smart gateways. By connecting the color sorter PLC to a WideIOT industrial smart gateway, the system performs protocol parsing, data acquisition, and real-time communication (via 5G/4G/Wi-Fi/Ethernet), establishing a reliable IoT system that communicates with cloud platforms and local host systems. This provides robust support for production management, alarm monitoring, maintenance work orders, equipment management, and data analytics—helping enterprises improve management efficiency and overall performance.

System Functions

Data Acquisition – The gateway collects data from the soybean color sorter PLC based on configurable PLC point tables, with flexible settings for acquisition frequency and upload intervals.

Remote Monitoring – Operators can monitor the color sorter's operating status in real time via PC or mobile devices, including runtime, operating parameters, alarm data, and more—accessible anytime for quick review.

Fault Alerting – Customizable alarm rules can be configured, with notifications sent via WeChat, SMS, or email. Alerts enable rapid fault identification and diagnostics, ensuring production safety.

Remote Maintenance – Through the Remote Maintenance Tunnel, engineers can perform remote PLC programming, debugging, and program upload/download from anywhere—eliminating the need for on-site visits and reducing downtime.

Data Analytics – By analyzing operational data from the color sorter, the system provides statistical insights into key metrics such as production efficiency and sorting effectiveness, helping users optimize their production processes.
