IoT Remote Monitoring Solution for UPS Mobile Power Vehicles

Published: 2026-07-03 15:04:37

With the rapid advancement of technology, UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) systems have become critical equipment for ensuring the normal operation of various essential facilities and venues. They are now indispensable in data centers, telecommunications and broadcasting stations, large-scale event venues, and other key locations. Particularly during emergency situations such as natural disasters or accidents, UPS mobile power vehicles provide stable, reliable, and uninterrupted power supply, delivering crucial electrical support for on-site rescue and relief efforts.

By connecting onboard controllers and UPS units to WideIOT's industrial intelligent gateways, data collection and wireless communication are enabled. This allows for remote monitoring and online management of all UPS mobile power vehicles through a cloud-based data dashboard. The system provides quick access to and management of information such as vehicle location distribution, quantity and type, operational status, working parameters, alarm events, and maintenance work orders. It also establishes an efficient and reliable response mechanism to better safeguard public safety and protect property.

Key Features

1. Data collection and reliable transmission – The system collects data from controllers, UPS units, and other onboard equipment, and transmits it to the remote cloud monitoring platform via 5G/4G networks, ensuring timely delivery to all management personnel. It also supports multi-network backup and data retransmission after network interruption.

2. Real-time monitoring and alerts – Key parameters such as vehicle voltage, fuel consumption, GPS location, generated voltage, generated current, output power, and generator operating status are monitored in real time. Any abnormalities trigger instant alerts.

3. Comprehensive vehicle information display and remote configuration – Users can view and quickly search for vehicle model, assigned customer, current location, and historical movement trails. Remote editing and configuration via computers or mobile devices are also supported, enhancing overall responsiveness.

4. QR code-based repair requests and work order management – Maintenance requests can be initiated by scanning a QR code on the vehicle. Management personnel can access work order reports, review assigned staff, processing progress, and operation logs, enabling them to reasonably uate work efficiency and service quality, and make informed improvements.
