Energy Monitoring and Centralized Management System Solution for Farms

Published: 2026-06-04 11:31:25

For smart pig farm service providers, core competitiveness lies in using intelligent methods to help farms reduce costs and increase efficiency. However, in practice, energy management often faces several challenges: smart pig farms are distributed across different regions, relying on local onduty staff to manually read and consolidate meter data—this approach is inefficient, laborintensive, and prone to errors. Moreover, the lack of a detailed energy management system makes it difficult to locate abnormal energy consumption or assess energysaving benefits, directly impacting the farm’s operational profitability.

To address these issues, WideIOT deploys an energy IoT gateway that supports connecting multiple smart meters to collect realtime data such as voltage, current, power, and electricity consumption. The data is transmitted via 4G networks to a central energy management platform, enabling farm operators to quickly view total energy usage, energy breakdowns (lighting, air conditioning, roller blinds, etc.), abnormal consumption, and energy waste. This allows them to develop科学的 energysaving strategies that promote efficiency, cost reduction, and productivity.

Key Features

The gateway supports data collection from multiple meters simultaneously, capturing realtime data such as voltage, current, power, and electricity usage. Data collection frequency and reporting intervals can be customized.

The management platform parses the data for categorized management and statistical analysis, providing quick insights into energy consumption by space and equipment—such as lighting, ventilation, air conditioning, water curtains, roller blinds, feeding systems, etc.

Custom thresholds can be set. When abnormal data is detected, the system automatically sends alerts via SMS, WeChat, or email to relevant personnel, enabling rapid response to abnormal energy usage and preventing further waste.

The gateway comes with a unified configuration and management platform, allowing remote access to the operational status and activity logs of devices at each site. Remote configuration, troubleshooting, and firmware updates are also supported.

Daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports are generated, with support for yearoveryear and monthovermonth analysis. Managers can intuitively assess whether energy consumption is within a reasonable range, uate the effectiveness of energysaving measures, and make datadriven decisions for future energysaving strategies.
