Integrated Pump Station Remote Monitoring and Management System Solution

Published: 2026-04-23 10:43:06

A township is carrying out river improvement projects along surrounding waterways. This includes upgrading rivers that lack adequate flood control capacity and have weak drainage and storage capabilities. The project involves adding rainfall and water level monitoring stations as well as integrated pump stations, all connected to a remote monitoring and management platform to enable remote monitoring and control. To address this, WideIOT provides a highly reliable and efficient data collection solution.

By deploying an industrial gateway at the water level monitoring stations, connecting instruments such as water level sensors, flow meters, and rain gauges, as well as integrating with the pump station PLC, the system can collect realtime rainfall and water level data from various rivers along with pump station operating parameters. The data is transmitted via 4G to a remote monitoring and management platform, providing digital support for river ecological flow, flood control infrastructure, and pump station maintenance, ultimately improving work efficiency and management levels.

Key Functions

Collects realtime data from water level sensors, flow meters, rain gauges, and other devices, including key parameters such as river water level, flow velocity, flow rate, and rainfall, forming a complete hydrological data chain.

Connects to the pump station PLC to collect parameters such as pump on/off status, operating hours, current, voltage, power, and fault alarms, enabling comprehensive monitoring of pump station operating conditions.

Supports custom alarm thresholds (e.g., water level exceeding warning level, pump overload, abnormal flow, etc.) and notifies management personnel in a timely manner via SMS, WeChat, or email.

In the event of a network interruption, the gateway continues to collect data and stores it locally. Once the network is restored, it automatically backfills the missing data, preventing data loss and ensuring data integrity.

Authorized management personnel can remotely control pump start, stop, and switching via the platform, as well as perform remote PLC programming, debugging, and program upload/download, improving maintenance efficiency.

Automatically summarizes key metrics (e.g., total discharge, pump station operating hours, number of alarms, etc.) in daily, weekly, or monthly report formats, reducing manual data compilation work.
