DCS Data Acquisition and Remote Monitoring for Stacker-Reclaimers in Thermal Power Plants

Published: 2026-10-30 11:40:02
In thermal power plants, stacker-reclaimers undertake the important tasks of storing and conveying raw materials. Through PLCs, DCS, and other systems, they execute a variety of automated commands—such as permit stacking, permit reclaiming, peripheral reclaiming operation, stacker-reclaimer emergency stop, stacking operation, stacking fault, reclaiming fault, and reclaiming circuit—providing reliable support for improving production efficiency and management standards.

To achieve DCS data acquisition and thereby enable remote monitoring and precise management of stacking and reclaiming operations, industrial smart gateways connect to the central control room DCS. The gateway adapts to the relevant protocols and performs data acquisition, then integrates the collected data into a remote monitoring cloud platform—enabling visualized display, remote monitoring, fault alerting, and remote management and control, ensuring safe and reliable stacking and reclaiming operations and preventing unexpected shutdowns.

Functions

The system collects real-time operating parameters from the stacker-reclaimer—such as temperature, pressure, flow rate, liquid level, position, and speed. After standardized processing, this data is transmitted to the central control room or cloud servers for storage, providing a solid foundation for subsequent data analysis, fault troubleshooting, and performance uation.

An intuitive real-time monitoring interface is provided, allowing operators to clearly view the stacker-reclaimer's operating status through graphical displays. When certain parameters exceed preset safe ranges, the system automatically triggers the alarm mechanism, notifying relevant personnel via SMS, email, WeChat, and other channels so that timely measures can be taken to avoid potential safety risks and production incidents.

The system aggregates, summarizes, and computes collected data to generate visualized results such as reports and trend charts. These analytical results help operators and management gain deeper insight into the stacker-reclaimer's operating conditions, identify potential areas for optimization, and formulate more rational production plans and maintenance strategies.
