The 2024 Central Document No. 1 was released, proposing a "roadmap" for effectively and powerfully advancing the comprehensive revitalization of rural areas.

Among the key points, it emphasizes ensuring national food security and strengthening agricultural infrastructure construction. This includes advancing the construction and modernization of key water sources, irrigation districts, flood storage and detention areas, implementing reservoir risk mitigation and reinforcement, as well as small and medium river treatment and small and medium reservoir construction projects. Additionally, it highlights the need to enhance short-term early warnings and medium- to long-term trend assessments for meteorological disasters and to establish a robust long-term mechanism for agricultural disaster prevention, mitigation, and relief.

To achieve enhanced monitoring and early warning capabilities for water and meteorological disasters, along with providing visual trend assessment support, WideIOT offers a solution based on IoT, wireless communication, and data analysis technologies.

This solution assists management departments in making more informed and timely scientific decisions to protect the lives and property of the people.

By deploying WideIOT industrial intelligent gateways at multiple stations in reservoirs, irrigation districts, flood storage and detention areas, and other regions, various instruments and meters such as water level gauges, flow meters, velocity meters, rain gauges, and temperature and humidity sensors can be connected.

These devices continuously collect real-time data on water levels, flow rates, rainfall, temperature, and humidity, which is then uploaded to relevant management department platforms. This enables functions such as over-limit alarms, map positioning, and data analysis to better prevent and control water and meteorological disasters.

System Functions

  1. Data Acquisition: The gateway enables automated, round-the-clock data acquisition, facilitating real-time communication between instruments and meters (such as water level gauges, flow meters, velocity meters, rain gauges, and temperature and humidity sensors) and management department platforms.

  2. Remote Monitoring: Managers can view real-time monitoring data from various stations on mobile and computer terminals, including station locations, real-time data, and alarm information. Historical data can also be quickly accessed and retrieved.

  3. Disaster Early Warning: When monitored data exceeds alert thresholds, the system automatically sends notifications to managers via WeChat, SMS, email, and other channels, providing timely disaster warnings.

  4. Data Analysis: Real-time tracking of changes in various hydrological and meteorological data trends allows for scientific assessment of disaster risks based on data charts and work experience, enabling informed decision-making.
