Traditional agricultural irrigation methods are plagued by issues such as large water consumption and uneven irrigation, resulting in the waste of water resources. Meanwhile, different crops have varying water requirements at different growth stages, and traditional irrigation methods are unable to meet the demands of precision irrigation. To improve the efficiency of agricultural irrigation and water resource utilization and achieve precision irrigation, a smart agricultural irrigation monitoring system is required.
Via WideIOT's industrial intelligent gateways, soil moisture content and meteorological data (such as rainfall, evaporation, etc.) are collected. The gathered data is transmitted to the smart agricultural irrigation monitoring platform, which performs real-time analysis and processing of the data. Based on soil moisture status and crop water demand rules, the platform analyzes irrigation needs and automatically controls irrigation equipment (such as drip irrigation and sprinkler irrigation equipment) to implement precision irrigation. Meanwhile, the platform is equipped with water quantity statistics and management functions, supporting remote irrigation management and irrigation scheme optimization.
