In recent years, urban flood control efforts have continued to face challenges such as insufficient natural retention capacity, lagging drainage infrastructure development, and inadequate emergency management capabilities.
Therefore, establishing an efficient and reliable monitoring system for urban underground drainage networks can provide information-based support for advancing urban flood management and enhancing drainage capabilities, thereby mitigating the impacts of extreme events such as torrential rains and floods.
Monitoring stations (including water level gauges, flow meters, velocity meters, pressure gauges, etc.) are deployed at urban drainage outlets and key intersections. These stations connect to WideIOT hydrological and water management gateways (RTUs) to collect real-time data on water levels, flow rates, velocities, and water pressure. This data is transmitted remotely via 5G/4G or fiber-optic networks to the drainage management platform, enabling remote monitoring, threshold-based alerts, and equipment location tracking. Managers can monitor drainage network operations across urban areas in real time and address leakage issues. This approach not only fulfills daily inspection requirements but also ensures reliable drainage network performance during heavy rainfall and flood seasons, making a significant contribution to preventing urban flooding.

Realize real-time display of equipment location information on the GIS electronic map. Quickly check equipment status and monitoring data to get a comprehensive overview of the operating status of the underground drainage pipe network.
Overlimit Alarm
Automatically alarm for abnormal data such as excess instantaneous flow and excessive water pressure. Support notifying managers via WeChat, SMS, email, etc. for rapid location, diagnosis and implementation of measures.
Interconnection and Intercommunication
Establish a unified data standardization system. Provide data interfaces to achieve in-depth integration with the City Information Model (CIM) basic platform and full connection with the national territorial space basic information platform.
Operation and Maintenance Management
Centrally manage the inspection and maintenance tasks of monitoring stations. Query task time, processing progress, work logs and other information at any time to form a visual and efficient operation and maintenance process.
Data Analysis
Display the collected real-time pipe network data on the data dashboard. Retrieve historical data for comparison and analysis, providing decision-makers with first-hand effective information to assist in decision-making.
